Monica Albini
Researcher in AI
Researcher in AI
Born in Italy but with Czech origins, Monica proudly considers herself 50% pasta and 50% beer. Her motto in life is: “don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.”
She ventured into the world of arts and entertainment at the tender age of 3 as a ballerina and hasn’t stopped dancing since that time. When she is not at her computer playing with ChatGPT, you can find her in a dance school or at a Caribbean event, ready to show off her salsa cubana and bachata moves.
Life is too short to stick to one hobby only: Monica is a strongly believer in exploring and trying new experiences!
At 19, she left home and has since then lived in six different countries. Born and raised in Turin (Italy), she moved to Geneva, Switzerland, to study at the FTI School of Translation and Interpreting. She completed two Erasmus programs: one in Canterbury, England, where she became a cheerleader and starred in a musical, and another in Madrid, Spain, where churros con chocolate from San Ginés became her post-night-out breakfast stop. For family and work, Monica relocated to Prague, Czech Republic, and most recently to Luxembourg, for a NLP experience at the European Commission.
Raised in a multicultural and multilingual environment, with her babička’s knedlíky and her mom’s pasta, Monica loves being a living example of how languages and AI can form the perfect working combination. As a Researcher in AI at Creative Words, her job includes supporting research projects on linguistic technologies, defining the structure of specifically designed courses and also conducting analysis and making improvement of current internal AI workflows.
